Editing the test shoot
It was my job to edit the test shoot, so i gathered all the videos together and used the app 'inshot' on my
phone to edit it.
I followed the storyboard to make sure i was matching the shots, and went from start to finish, adjusting the clips and making sure everything lined up and was in time to the music. I couldn't make all the lip syncing line up, as we didn't have a closeup of harry singing the whole song, for example, so i just repeated clips. This is okay though, as it is more important that the shot composition is right.
I also wanted to add a trippy effect to the dancers, so i used the app 'Crystaliq' to achieve this.
I really love the way this effect turned out, and it just makes it look even more 60s, which of course is exactly what we're going for.
Finally, i wanted to add a 60s/vintage looking filter onto the whole video, to tie it all together. I used an app called '8mm', and it gave a really groovy warm tone to the video, and a few film looking spots.
