Feedback for first digipak
In class today, i received feedback from Mike and the rest of my group on my digipak design. This will be very useful for me to improve on my second attempt, and what aspects of the design needs to be altered, and what parts are beneficial.
-The colour pallet was one of the first things mentioned, and my group and mike were very fond of the warm tones and colour scheme
-the filter (the added vintage effect and grain) was also very liked
-The photos themselves were creative and looked very authentic of the time
-the pattern fits really well with the rest of the photos and had a very strong retro vibe (however i have to make sure i draw/design my own)
-and finally it was very clear on genre, and easy to tell what sort of band this was and when it is set
What needs to be improved:
-The fonts aren't the best choice and can be improved-using the logo of the band on the front cover would look great, instead of just normal text
-i should think about the barcode and the information on the back- make sure its not too big, and doesn't look like part of the design
-i should also put the boys in different outfits to what they were wearing in the music video
-and with focusing on the positioning of the members is important,- for example making sure the lead singer is in the front or centre, or where your eye looks first
