Participatory culture: audiences are no longer passive, but are active in consumption
-they have to be involved
-and can, if possible, develop

Henry Jenkins explains that if you don't engage with active consumption, your product will not be successful and will die out. He sums this up with the quote: "if it doesn't spread, it's dead"

To sell our product, which is our band, the music video and digipack are methods to sell our artist but the key to successful spreadability is our websites and our social media.

How are we going to apply spreadability to our campaign?

To help with our spreadability, with our social media accounts we will use lots of interactive elements so our target audience and followers can get involved. For example:

-using instagram polls so audience can decide between options and interact
-a question and answer feature on instagram stories, so the band can answer the audiences questions
-live videos so the band can talk to their followers or film them hanging our or talking about their music
-making an instagram highlight of fan art so the audience can feel acknowledged
-reposting fan covers of the music
-reposting pictures fans have taken at concerts/venues and of them wearing merchandise
